Staying safe during COVID-19

KLT Utilities Ltd takes the safety and wellbeing of our customers, clients, workforce and third parties working with us very seriously. As COVID-19 continues to challenge us, we continue to develop our approach, with close alignment to government, public health authority and client guidance.

We have identified a range of controls to manage the risk of spreading Covid-19 and these include:

  • Operational risk assessments to ensure customers are safe within their own homes, and to support vulnerable customers.
  • Operational risk assessments to ensure our workforce can operate safely.
  • We have limited the number of personnel working in offices, providing flexibility and home working where possible.
  • We have enhanced cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with official guidance for all our operations.
  • We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2 metre or 1 metre plus with mitigation for social distance in the workplace.
  • We have increased the level of signage in the workplace to ensure social distancing and hygiene standards are observed.
  • We provide regular updates, information and instruction to ensure our workforce are fully aware of the precautions needed to control transmission.
  • We regularly review our control measures along with reviewing guidance provided by the relevant authorities, ready to make further improvements as the situation develops.

KLT will react quickly and do the right thing to support everyone we come into contact with and ensure we can keep our essential services running.
